This may be old news to some of you, but such an important topic as this, I felt led to share my findings for you poor souls out there like me who still believe in Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy, Freedom of Speech and the 25 cent Burger.

Two weeks ago I received an email from my sister informing me of In and Out Burgers 60th birthday celebration for October 22nd.. The email went on to explain that in honor of their birthday bash they would be selling their burgers for 25 cents. Cheeseburgers would go for 30 cents and fries 15 cents. Needless to say I was pretty excited and looking forward to feeding my face.

Yep, Breakfast, lunch and dinner. My day was planned. Hold all of my calls and postpone all of my meetings! - Tell my wife I love her and I'll be home late.

The following day when I went into the office all of my co-workers were buzzing with the great news of the big birthday bash. They quickly shared with me the same email I received. 25cent burgers and 30cent cheeseburgers! Is this the greatest country or what! For a week we would talk about how many burgers we'd buy. Some said they would go around and feed the hungry; another would buy a dozen and refrigerate them for their lunches!

Subconsciously I think I knew something was a little too good to be true, but with the heavenly thoughts of these juicy burgers and grilled onions dancing in my brain blocked out all reason and logic. Sure the lines would go around the block 4 times, and the drive-thrus would block traffic for 20 miles. It would only be for a day right?. I could even believe that In and Out would lose millions upon millions of dollars.. just to say thanks for 60 great years!

Can you say sucker?

Well, on Wednesday just one day before the BIG DAY one of my co-workers broke the bad news to me around the water cooler.. The 25cent In and Out Burger extravaganza was a hoax.. The 30cent cheeseburgers just a cruel lie and the 15cent fries were well.. not going to happen. My friend told me to google it for myself and that's exactly what I did.

Am I upset?

No..

Do I feel like a moron?

Am I still going to In and Out on October 22nd?

Of course I am, I LOVE In and Out! I won't let this hoax ruin my appetite! however, I will be wearing dark sunglasses to hide my tears… ;)

All kidding aside, I would like to wish In and Out a very Happy Birthday!

I think that this is part of a \"Right Wing\" conspiracy. It\'s only fair for the rich to provide In & Out to the other 95% at a price that we want to pay. In an Obama administration this could not happen. Where\'s Fred the Burger Flipper when you need him? Probably out with Joe the Plumber trying to get his license.
