Michael Fritchman, a local Ridgemoor student is a pretty special kid. Michael was born with "Anomalous of the Right Coronary Artery". What that means is that Michael was born with his right coronary artery coming out of the left side of his heart. His right coronary artery was routed in between his aorta and his pulmonary artery so every time he would over exert himself he would cut of the blood/oxygen flow to his heart. The doctor's were able to perform a tunneling procedure that allows the blood to flow to the correct part of his heart.
This past April, George Espinoza the custodian at Ridgemoor Elementary, had a mild heart attack. The staff and students are extremely close to Mr Espinoza and Michael was especially concerned about him. According to Michael’s mother, Liz Fritchman, when Mr Espinoza returned to work, Michael recruited him to join his team and Mr Espinoza said, “Life is very important and you have to take care of yourself." He let Michael know that as long as he's around he will be walking with him.

| There is another student who did the walk and helped to raise some money for the cause as well. The community should be proud of both boys. | |
