Sun City was founded by Del E Webb in the early 60's as a type of resort retirement community.  Locating the project in the serene Menifee Valley was done after recognizing the air quality and gentle breezes of the area.  The Core area is built around two golf courses and the Civic Association provides numerous activities, including swimming, fitness, shuffleboard, and lawn bowling.  Heath care facilities are found in Sun City, including assisted care living.   The area has grown to include the family friendly community of Menifee and may soon be incorporated into Menifee Valley as residents move toward cityhood.

Senior computer club
HSCC is an education and information service organization dedicated to expanding the knowledge, understanding, and use of personal computers. Our Club is a California Public Benefit Corporation located in Hemet, California. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend meetings. We host speakers with a broad range of expertise and endeavor to keep the learning fun and sociable.

Just for Seniors 55+ Club (JFS) is a FREE community service program of Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) and its affiliated institutions. As a world-renown medical and educational center, our mission is "to make man whole" through information, resources, and programs that benefit you physically, intellectually, socially, and spiritually.

Sun City Civic Association
The Sun City Civic Association is a 501( c )(4) business corporation chartered by the State of California. The business of the corporation is protection and maintenance of the 55+ community status and the recreational interests of homeowners in the Core Area's 4762 homes. All homeowners in the Core Area must be Members of the Association, with a stake in sound operation of Association business.

They offer social, recreational and educational activities for all residents of the community.  Intergenerational programs are promoted and the center functions as a community-hub providing services and programs for residents of all ages.
