 The Paloma Valley High School softball team went to its first championship finals of the CIF Div III to face a tough team from La Serna High School.� The Wildcat dream came to an end 5-1, as the Lancers from Whittier started strong with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning and behind strong pitching held on to the lead, adding three more runs in the sixth. � A Wildcat rally in the seventh inning was the only offense they could muster scoring their only run before La Serna shut it down with a ground out and a strike out. � Paloma Valley finished the season with a 23-9 record while La Serna completed the year at 26-4. � See the Photos of Paloma Valley See the Photos of La Serna Back |
