Wildomar California -- Rockin' the Standards, a rock band designed to help kids learn the California State Standards, blew the roof off of Wildomar Elementary School's multipurpose room this last week. Students jumped, sang, and waved their arms in the air as the band pounded out academic rock songs.
Tim Bedley, the bands founder and lyricist explains, "The reaction of the kids was phenomenal! You would have thought we were the Beatles or something. Crazy! The kids were screaming so loud, it was sometimes hard to hear the music."

Teachers also loved what they heard. Several clapped and danced in their seats to the bands hard-hitting songs. The PTA sold Rockin' the Standards T-shirts and CD's leading up to the concert, so many of the students wore their shirts and knew the lyrics to the songs. Rockin' the Standards even made the evening news on ABC7!

What an exciting day for the staff and students at Wildomar Elementary School!
